Emily Rodda

Born on the 2^nd of April, Emily Rodda (Jennifer Rowes author name) was an avid reader and so naturally decided to become an author. She was raised by Jim Oswin along with her two younger brothers and graduated from the University of Sydney in 1973.

Emily Rodda is well known for her fantasy series such as ‘Deltora Quest, the ‘Ronda’ trilogy and more recently, the ‘Three doors’ trilogy. Her first book ‘Something Special’ was officially published in 1984. That was the beginning of her career, one of the most successful careers in Australia.

Ever since 1994, Emily Rodda has become a full-time writer and writes novels in her ‘spare time’. She now lives in the Blue Mountains with her husband, Bob Ryan.
